Matt Belgie
Matt is the manager of The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s corporate Learning and Development Department.
Matt and his team design, create, and facilitate staff and leader training for more than 100,000 UPMC employees around the globe. Matt was granted the opportunity to train newly hired international leaders for UPMC’s new facilities in Sicily and Rome and is part of ongoing leader development for new ventures in Ireland, China, and Kazakhstan.
Prior to working at UPMC Matt served as a youth and family pastor for thirteen years before becoming the National Director of Capacity Development for World Vision; an international relief & development agency. He has presented at multiple international conferences for Youth Specialties, Inc., and The Christian Community Development Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Education. He attended Trinity School for Ministry and studied abroad in Peru and Haiti while participating in doctoral research for the University of Pittsburgh on learning styles of marginalized people groups.
Matt and his wife, Betsy are avid Pens, Steelers, and Pirates fans. They reside in Pittsburgh, PA with their dog, King, and are parents to two adult children, Mia and Serena.
