Community is at the heart of The Coco Project, and the Stitch Collective is one of the ways we bring people together to spread kindness and hope. Whether you're an experienced crafter or just learning, there's a place for you here. Throughout the year, we host quarterly Craft Days where volunteers gather to create handmade items that are included in our Buddies Boxes for children and families facing medical challenges. It's a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can meet new people, learn new skills, and be part of something meaningful. Come as you are. Bring your creativity. Leave with connection, purpose, and community. We’ll even feed you lunch!
Can't make it to a Craft Day? No problem! The Stitch Collective is designed to fit your life. You can craft on your own schedule, from the comfort of your home, and donate your completed items when they're ready.
Every stitch, every handmade creation, and every hour you give helps remind a child and family that they are seen, valued, and supported.
Fill out the form below to join the Stitch Collective and learn how you can get involved.
Do you knit, crochet, or sew?
We could use your help. We are in need of toiletry bags, quilts, hats, and socks for Buddies Box.
WHAT WE MAKE
Toiletry Bags
You can download the pattern we use here. Please use gender neutral colors and patterns as we cannot predict who will be receiving the item.
Quilted Blankets
Use your creativity and make a quilted blanket with the pattern of your choosing. Sizes should be baby, throw, or twin.
Please note we cannot accept knitted or crocheted blankets as they pose a snag risk to medical equipment.
